Iraqi armed forces are advancing with great success to clear the entire city of Mosul from Daesh, said the Chief in Command, but the operation proceeds slowly because the Forces want to preserve the lives of citizens, otherwise the victory and the liberation of Mosul would be achieved for much less time.
All of this has been discussed during a meeting with President of the Republic, Dr. Fuad Masum, at the Peace Palace in Baghdad on Wednesday with the Special Representative the Secretary-General of United Nations in Iraq, Jan Kubiš.
He praised the victories achieved by the Iraqi forces against terrorism, pointing out that all the reports received by the International Organization confirm the happiness of civilians in the liberated areas and that people are greeting the army as liberators.
