During his first day in Indonesia King Salman made his remarks at the Parliament urging unity against terrorism and threats to internal security. Unity is a necessity in confronting the challenges that the Islamic nation is facing and in coordinate efforts to serve common interests and international peace and security. On the secondo day the King visited the Indonesian House of Representative and expressed his appreciation to the government and he also visited Istiqlal Mosque, one of the most important islamic landmarks in Indonesia. The king and President Widodo also met with prominent Islamic figures. During the visit there was also a meeting held by the Saudi-Indonesian Bunsiness Council,where there was stressed Saudi Arabia seek to attract investments in accordance with Saudi Vision 2030.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry deplored a joint statement by Malaysia and Saudi Arabia that accuses the Islamic Republic of interference in other countries, recommending the Kuala Lumpur government to avoid involvement in such moves aimed at undermining Muslim unity. In their statement, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia expressed concern about what they called “Iranian interference in the internal affairs of countries in the region”. Saudi Arabia donates billions to aid Yemen's reconstruction

Saudi Arabia will donate $10 billion in aid to Yemen, $2 billion to the central bank and $8 billion to reconstruct the run-down areas including areas destroyed by Houthi militias. The news was revealed by the Country’s President Hadi during a meeting on Wednesday with Prime Minister and governors of Taiz, Aden, Sana’a, Bayda and others. Hadi also said they will succed in overcoming the terroristic forces represented by Houthis and Saleh and placed the priority on streamling services related to electricity, health, water, education, roads and telecommunications.

Saudi sentenced to prison for communicating with Daesh via whatsapp

A Saudi national was sentenced for 7 years in prison by the Specialized Criminal Court in Riyadh for supporting Daesh and communicating with an official of the terrorist organization via WhatsApp. The man confessed he wanted to join Daesh and do a terrorist operation against Alawites. He also informed people of how to enter Syria via Turkey and used social networks to communicate with the organization. For that reasons he was condemned to 7 years in prison, his mobile phone was seized by the court and his account on the social media application was closed.

Saudi Arabia deported about 39,000 Pakistani nationals from the Kingdom in the past four months for violating the rules of residence and work, the Saudi Gazette reported on Tuesday. The deportations were a result of visa violations. Officials in the Kingdom are carrying out a “thorough scrutiny” of Pakistanis allowed in to the Oil-rich country amid concern that some of them could be ISIS sympathizers. Besides involvement in some terrorist actions orchestrated by Daesh, the so-called Islamic State, number of Pakistanis were held in the crimes of drug trafficking, thefts, forgery and physical assault, according to officials.

A heavy sandstorm blanketed Saudi Arabia’s capital on Thursday, reducing visibility at times to less than a meter. Riyadh residents saw their city once again enveloped by dust as authorities put out safety messages to the inhabitants of the country’s largest population center. The Ministry of Health advised residents to take safety measures when heading outdoors. “It is important to wear a protective medical mask when leaving the house since the dust will agitate the respiratory system,” posted the Ministry in an Arabic tweet on its Riyadh account. The capital isn’t a stranger to sandstorms with occurrences this year in August, March and February.

Houthi attack on the border repelled by Saudi armed forces

Saudi armed forces guarding on the southern border thwarted an attack by the Yemeni Houthi militias and forces loyal to ousted President Ali Abdullah Saleh before daybreak on Sunday. The attack was staged opposite the Alab crossing-point in the southern Zahran region. Members of the Saudi forces were able to kill up to 40 of the attackers, while Arab coalition planes targeted a large group of militiamen across the Saudi border, an army source said, and also conducted a hot-pursuit operation inside Yemen to cleanse one of the locations that has pockets of Houthi militiamen and Saleh supporters. President-elect Donald Trump shut down some of his companies in the days after the election, including four that appeared connected to a possible Saudi Arabia business venture. The Trump Organization’s general counsel, Alan Garten, described shutting down the four companies as routine “housecleaning,” and said there was no existing Trump business venture in Saudi Arabia. The four Saudi-related companies were among at least nine companies that Trump filed paperwork to dissolve or cancel since the election. The recent dissolutions represent a fraction of Trump’s global network of companies.
