King Salman visited Malaysia, both countries believe in peaceful nature of Islam and will sign new agreements

King Salman visited Malaysia today during his tour to Asia, that includes Indonesia, Japan, China, Brunei, Jordan and Maldives. Malaysian Prime Minister affirmed that relations between the two countries are built on mutual trust and respect through the years. The Minister also said both countries believe in the tolerant,moderate and peaceful nature of Islam and will sign a number of new agreements. The visit will focus on stregthen bilateral relations at all levels for the benefit of the two countries but also for the unity of the Muslim world as a whole. Also on the commercial front the two countries has improved significantly and the visit will open several channels of cooperation.

Riyadh reaffirms support for two-state solution to Israeli-Palestinian conflict

After talks with the italian counterpart Alfano, Saudi Foreign Minister al-Jubeir expressed support to a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital saying “This is the settlement that we believe is a fair and just settlement”. Concerning the solution of this conflict Trump said last week that he could accept both a two-state solution or a single-state solution if agreed by all sides, evenf if his administartion affirmed its support to a two-state solution. During the talk with italian counterpart, the two discussed challenges to the Middle East peace process as well as Syria,Yemen,Iraq,Libya and the role of Italy in Kingdom Vision 2030.

WHO support health services in Yemen, KSA provides 12m vaccines for Yemeni children

A report by the KSRelief declared its financiation to the WHO which allow it to support health services in Yemen. Indeed KSRelief provided health and environmental services to Yemeni governorates in addition to providing principal medical equipment and 12m vaccines to children. This support reached more than 7.5 million benificiaries and through the help of KSRelief, the WHO provided basic health services to refugees and areas that are hard to reach. Through WHO the centre also helped the heath amenities through surgical teams with 39 permanent medical teams and 28 specialized teams sent to variuos governorate. Moreover 12m vaccines were sent to immunize yemeni children against mumps, rubella and whooping cough, tetanus and diphteria.

Saudi forces are defending the Yemen borders from Houthis

Houthi militias were stopped at the border with Yemen by Saudi forces that avoid them to get closer. This is not the first attemp of Houthis to cross the border between Saudi Arabia and Yemen or try to smuggle civilians. During this attempt, which started at the break of time, 4 Houthis were killed and several military equipments (weapons, explosive devices, rocket-propelled granades) were seized from them. The militias wore uniforms of the deposed president’s special forces.

'Intense effrots' made in identifying terror cells

During a press conference the Director of the Investigations and Strategic Planning Centre of the Interior Ministry and Ministry spokesman described how securety agencies started investigating information received about suspected criminals from four separate regions in the Kingdom. These individuals were suspected of being involved in terrorist cells and were arrested. The Ministry also said that security authorities are not certain of the number of cells still in operation but are undertaking intense effrots to identify them and that the Kingdom is coordinating with the international authorities in combating terrorism funding, especially to Daesh.

Saleh al-Sammad condolences to victims of the massacre committed by Saudi aggression warplanes on a funeral house

During a visit to Arhab district in Sana’a governorate President of the Supreme Political Council Saleh al-Sammad offered condolences to victims of the massacre commited by Saudi aggression warplanes on a funeral house in the district on Wednesday. The attack killed 8 women and children and injured ten other women. The President condemned the aggression and the complicity of the international community on the aggression against Yemen. He also denunced the international silence on the crimes commitedgainst civilians and asked to lift the blockade which affected negatively 25 million people.

Saudi Arabia dismantles four ISIS cells, 18 arrests

The interior minister confirmed the arrest of 18 individuals in the Kingdom belonging to four islamic state in Iraq and Syria. Fifteen of them were Saudi citizens and the other three were from Yemen and Sudan. During the arrests about two million riyals were confiscated and the spokesperson for Saudi Arabia’s interior ministry al-Turki said most of those arrested supply materials to the ISIS cells in Riyadh. The ministry affirmed that ISIS cells in Saudi Arabia have spread to Mecca, Medina, Riyadh and Qassim regions.

KSA: World Bank cooperates in Yemen's reconstruction

King Salman and President of the World Bank Jim Yong Kim met in Riyadh and dicussed aspects of cooperation between the Kingdom and the World Bank Group. Kim expressed the Bank’s desire to partecipate in the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. The President of the World Bank also met with Deputy Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman and the two talked about cooperation on reconstruction of Yemen to overcome the current crisis and make available of the basic needs for Yemeni people.

Saudi Arabia and Turkey have same views on regional conflicts. Salman and Erdogan discussed security cooperation and terrorism

During the talks between King Salman and Turkish President Erdogan in Riyadh on Tuesday they focused on political,security and commercial bilateral subjects. As turkish ambassador Yunus Demirer said the two leaders discussed key regional issues like Syria,Yemen,Lybia and Iran besides bilateral security cooperation and terrorism. The turkish President also met the Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the two focused on combating terrorism and cooperation on security issues. Due to the call for a safe zone in northern Syria by Erdogan on Monday, Syria was a key issue during these talks with top Saudi officials and Foreign Minister al-Jubeir said the Kingdom and Turkey have identical positions on that.

Protect Yemen civilians is one of the top priorities for the Saudi-led coalition. The coalition forces have an interest in restoring legitimacy in Yemen and show concern for the lives of civilians and for humanitarian rights. The coalition is constantly working with UN organizations and International Red Cross and Red Crescent societies to support humanitarian effrots. There is also an independent team which is working to develop investigation procedures on accidents and incidents and provides reports about each incident. The coalition is trying to evacuate civilians in conflict areas before launching airstrikes on hiding places of Houthis and other rebels but Houthis are using civilians as human shields and deliberately hid fighters and weapons near civilians in al-Mokha and Taiz to avoid being attacked, evenf if in violation of international humanitarian law.
