On Monday, Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan said he was not expecting that the court-ordered evacuation of the Amona outpost by the end of the year would see violence on the part of the settlers living there. Erdan later acknowledged that the legislation alone may not avert the demolition, but said in such a case he has “no doubt” the police will do their job and the government will comply with the court order. The Minister said he is familiar with the Amona residents and “the majority or all are law-abiding and will not lift a hand against a policeman.”

In a statement to TAP on the sidelines of the entrepreneur day organized on Wednesday at the headquarters of the National School of Engineers of Sousse, the official said that the national strategy of bolstering the private initiative aims to establish new mechanisms adapted to innovative projects and simplify administrative procedures for young promoters so that they are aware of the digital era. The militants says attackers have bombed oil pipelines

Nigerian militants and a local leader say attackers have bombed oil pipelines 100km apart, the fifth attack this month in response to a military campaign in Nigeria’s southern, petroleum-producing Niger Delta. Community leader Stephen Igwe says two other explosions blasted Italian company Agip’s Tebidaba-Brass pipeline. An Avengers statement warns of “continuous attacks” in retaliation for military raids. It questions the sincerity of government negotiations to address demands for justice and development in the oil-polluted region. Oil companies do not comment on attacks.

The Knesset approved a preliminary reading of the Regulation Law

On Wednesday, the Knesset approved a preliminary reading of the Regulation Law seeking to normalize the status of Judea and Samaria communities and protect them from future legal entanglements.
According to the proposed bill, if nobody can prove ownership over such contested plots, they are to be listed under the name of the appointee over government property in Judea and Samaria. On the other hand, if one can prove ownership, the land will be confiscated and transferred to the government appointee, and the man who proved ownership will be eligible to use the land or an alternative plot. The confiscation will be in force until which time the State decides on the status of the area and the Jewish settlement within it. Further, until the end of proceedings, enforcement will be suspended with respect to structures in those communities.

UGTT is willing to return to the table of dialogue

Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT) Secretary-general Hassine Abassi said, on Friday, that the difference between UGTT and the current government that wants to postpone the payment of wage increases, can only be settled through bringing justice to the rights holders, affirming that it is inconceivable to trample on this right. In a statement to the media at the end of a meeting with House of People’s Representatives Speaker Mohamed Naceur, Abassi added that UGTT is willing to return to the table of dialogue and accept possible options provided that this right is not violated. He pointed out that this consultation meeting, which was held at the initiative of Ennaceur whom he described as “a man of dialogue,” had turned on the difference between UGTT and the government. UGTT, he specified, still considers this government as the result of a large consultation between political parties and UGTT, which is still attached to the Carthage Document. For his part, Ennaceur underlined that dialogue will continue and that there is a real will and commitment on the part of the country’s senior officials to preserve the national union, overcome current difficulties and reinforce the citizen’s confidence in his country. There are proposals that will be looked at to reach a solution and iron out difficulties, he said.

Ten people died in two different accidents: boat mishap and tanker explosion

Tragedy struck in Mokwa and Katcha council areas of Niger state yesterday where 10 people were feared dead in two different accidents involving boat mishap and tanker explosion. While seven people were feared killed when they drowned in Katcha local government area, Tanker explosion killed three in Mokwa town.

The newspaper LEADERSHIP gathered that those drowned in Katcha as a result of the boat mishap comprised of four female and three children. The accident happened along River Gbako, a tributary of River Niger in Katcha local government area of the state.

Burkina Faso’s peacekeepers soldiers will be withdrawed from Sudan by July 2017

Burkina Faso has notified the United Nations that it will withdraw soldiers deployed as peacekeepers in Sudan’s troubled Darfur region by July next year, the foreign minister said late on Friday. The West African nation, which has a battalion of 850 soldiers serving in the nearly 14,000 troop strong U.N.-African Union hybrid mission, has suffered a series of deadly attacks at home amid a rise in Islamist militant violence. Burkina Faso’s government said in May that it would seek to bring some troops home to help reinforce domestic security.

Kidnapped Chibok schoolgirl with baby rescued by Nigerian troops

Nigerian troops rescued one of the Chibok schoolgirls kidnapped by Boko Haram extremists more than two years ago in a pre-dawn raid on Saturday on a forest hideout. She had a 10-month-old baby boy born to a Boko Haram fighter, said a statement from army spokesperson Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman. It was the first army rescue of a Chibok girl. She says she wants to be reunited with her mother and the father of her child, a detained Boko Haram extremist whom she says also was a victim of kidnapping and helped her escape. The government says she is receiving trauma counseling and other care at a military hospital in Abuja, where she has been joined by the girls released last month.

The threats to the Tobruk government have arrived in crucial week for the formation of the national unity government because Tripoli will must decide if it wants to sign deal.

Last 1st August, Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni Bernardino Leon and the UN mediator met Prime Minister Nuri Abusahmin Tripoli in Algeria. They tried to follow up Shikat agreement of two weeks ago, when all factions, except the government supported by the Muslim Brotherhood, agreed on Libyan national unity government. Despite many difficulties in the negotiations in recent months, Tripoli has continued to negotiate: so agreement could be not so far.

This deal is urgent for International Community, especially for the Eu. After institution of Libyan national unity government, an Un military mission could start. It could include Italy, France, Germany, Great Britain, Spain and the United States which, according to La Repubblica, would provide only logistical support to the operation.

Meanwhile, on August 3rd another video was broadcast on internet. It documents torture suffered by Al-Saadi Gaddafi, the Rais second son, in Tripoli prison. These bloody images bring the opening of an investigation by the Attorney General of Tripoli.
