Tripoli and Moscow continue their cooperation after official Al-Serraj visit to Moscow. The President of the Presidency Council of the Government of National Accord Fayez Al-Serraj on Tuesday met at the Council’s headquarters here the Russian delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bugdanov the personal envoy of Russian President Vladimir Putin. This visit aims to continue the impulsion created by Al-Serraj visit to Moscow. Russia told to Libya, that their relations will go back to the former level soon. Both countries had been agreed on an increasing of cooperation between both, and also a Russian help in front of the escalation of violences in Libya.

Iranian Defense Minister Hossein Dehghan and his Indian counterpart Arun Jaitley met on the sidelines of Moscow security conference to stress the need for a decisive fight against terrorism. During the meeting, Brig. Gen. Dehghan highlighted the many cultural and civilizational commonalities for mutual corporation, as well as the geopolitical and geostrategic importance of the two countries, adding “boosting the level of cooperation between Iran and India in political, military and security fields can help tremendously with the improvement of regional security indexes and the expansion of sustainable peace and security all across the region”. The Iranian defense minister noted the various mutual grounds for cooperation between the two countries including fight against terrorism, extremism, drugs trafficking, and piracy, as well as exchanging experiences in various fields, calling for further expansion of ties to the strategic level. Indian Defense Minister Jaitley, for his part, maintained that the common history and civilization has created a bilateral interest on both sides for expansion of relations in all areas related to the preservation of regional security. Stressing that New Delhi recognizes no distinction between different forms of terrorism, adding “every condition is ready to expand cooperation with Iran in defense and security spheres and talks and meetings between the two countries’ defense officials are of great importance in this regard”.

The Jammu and Kashmir Home Department on Wednesday banned 22 social networking sites in the restive Kashmir Valley for one month. Social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, QQ, WeChat, Ozone, Tumblr, Google , Baidu, Skype, Viber, Line, Snapchat, Pinterest, Telegram and Reditt have been banned in Kashmir for one month or till further orders. The department has in its order directed all internet service providers that “any message or class of messages to or from any persons or class of persons relating to any subject or any pictorial content through the following social networking sites shall not be transmitted in the Kashmir Valley, with immediate effect, for a period of one month or till further orders, whichever is earlier”.

The European Pillar of Social Rights sets out 20 key principles and rights to support fair and well-functioning labour markets and welfare systems. The Pillar was prepared by the Commission, under the leadership of Vice-President Dombrovskis and Commissioner Thyssen, in close consultation with stakeholders at all levels. It reaffirms rights that are already present in the EU and international legal acquis and complements them to take account of new realities. The principles and rights enshrined in the Pillar are structured around three categories: equal opportunities and access to the labour market, fair working conditions and social protection and inclusion. They place the focus on how to tackle new developments in the world of work and society at large so as to deliver on the promise of the Treaties of a highly competitive social market economy, aiming at full employment and social progress.

Police officer shot dead in Faisal.

In despite of emergency state application, violences continue in Egypt. A non-commissioned police officer was shot dead by unidentified gunmen on Wednesday morning in the district of Faisal in Giza. According to later reports from a security source with Giza Security Directorate, the officer was targeted in a revenge killing due to a dispute between the victim’s family and another family. According to authorities, these kind of attacks are commons since the overthrow of the government of the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood, whom authorities blame for plotting the attacks. An other policy officier had been killed in similar conditions last February.

After being interrogated for hours, he was brought to a van and has travelled all night long in order to reach Sanaa National Security, where he was interrogated for other two days.after this, he was conducted to the jail for 10 months and got free just in April 2016. Once free, he moved to Canada not having anymore the chance of keeping on living in Yemen. There he was able to talk about the horrors, he had seen in the jail, like the man, called Maamary, who was subjected to several tortures (they had burnt him with cigarettes, kicked him or also electrocuted his mouth), until he got paralyzed.

Critics blast US shipment of fighter jets to Israel

Israel received three F-35 stealth fighter jets from the United States at the weekend – a new generation of “near-invisible” planes that critics fear will free the country’s hand to launch air strikes and spying operations against neighbouring states undetected. In total, Israel has bought 50 F-35s from manufacturer Lockheed Martin, and claims it will have the first squadron combat-ready before the end of the year. It is the first country outside the US to be allowed access to the warplane, said to be the most expensive ever developed. The F-35’s main selling point is its advanced stealth capabilities, reportedly allowing it to evade even the most sophisticated antiaircraft missile systems. Lockheed describes the plane as “virtually invisible”.

Turkey will not wait at Europe’s door forever and is ready to walk away from EU accession talks if rising Islamophobia and hostility from some member states persist, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan told Reuters in a wide-ranging interview on April 25.Speaking at his presidential palace less than two weeks after scoring a tight victory in an April 16 referendum on constitutional amendments, Erdoğan said a decision by a leading European human rights body to put Turkey back on a watch list was “entirely political” and that Ankara did not recognize the move. The Strasbourg-based Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) said it put Turkey back on review over its wave of arrests since the July 2016 coup attempt, rights violations and concerns about Erdoğan’s increased grip on power.

Russia says US airstrike on Syria damages prospects of peace settlement

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said the airstrike that the United States launched at a Syrian military base earlier this month damages the prospects of a political settlement for the war-torn country. Lavrov told a security conference on Wednesday the attack as a pretext for a regime change in Syria and said the US response “pushes the prospect for a wide international front on terror even further away”. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said earlier on Wednesday Russia had to boost security measures at its air base in Syria after the airstrike.
