SNSC’s Secretary on what it takes to act legally against the violation of the July 2015 nuclear deal

The Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani spoke to reporters in Theran on Sunday about what it takes to act legally against violation of the July 2015 nuclear deal between Tehran and world powers. All Iranian officials agree on the fact that a renewal of anti-Iran sanctions constitutes a violation of the nuclear agreement, and urge the US President to veto a bill recently passed by the US Congress to extend the sanctions. “We have the necessary legal capacities to counter breach of the JCPOA” Shamkhani further said, referring to the nuclear deal and specified “We will take necessary measures commensurated with what the other side does”. The bill passed by the Iranian Parliament is a 9-point directive issued by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and an SNSC approval gave those in charge a free hand to deal with the issue.

US-backed Saudi-led aggression jets and mercenaries breached the ceasefire about 114 times

Army spokesman Brig. Gen. Sharaf Luqman said on Monday that the US-backed Saudi-led aggression coalition fighter jets and their mercenaries have committed 114 ceasefire breaches, which have been monitored and documented in several Yemeni provinces. The Saudi-led alliance, in addition to launching a series of air strikes across Yemen in clear violation to the ceasefire, the coalition also dropped internationally prohibited cluster weapons during the two-day truce. If the alliance of aggression continues breaching the truce, Luqman said it will threaten the peace negotiations and Muscat`s principles Agreement.

Ceasefire in Syria violated 40 times in 24 hours by illegal armed groups

On Saturday, Russian Center for reconciliation of the warring parties in Syria said in its daily news bulletin posted on the Russian Defense Ministry’s official website, that 40 ceasefire violations by illegal armed groups, which have announced joining the regime of cessation of hostilities have been registered in the past 24 hours in Syria. On Saturday, at 1:15pm, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the city of Damascus came under mortar fire. Moreover, militants of the Jabhat Fateh al-Sham group used a suicide bomber vehicle against government troops in Aleppo’s Hay al-Ansari district. Russia’s Aerospace Force and Syria’s Air Force have not been delivering strikes on opposition armed units that had announced the cessation of hostilities and reported their location to the Russian or US reconciliation centers.
