Germany and the Palestinian Authority signed on Wednesday two financial and technical cooperation agreements that commit Germany to provide 49 million euros to several social development and economic projects, according to a press release by the Palestinian Foreign Ministry. It said the agreements, signed by Foreign Minister Riyad Malki and the German Representative to the Palestinian areas, Peter Beerwerth, will go to projects such as water desalination, education, development and job creation for youth.
During Uvda, an Israeli investigative television program, the journalist Illana Dayan run an investigation on PM Netanyahu. In a letter Netanyahu criticized Dayan for being one of the leaders of the orchestrated assault against him and that her show is an example of why a reform is needed in Israel’s media. Many journalists and politicians criticized the remarks saying to replace him to save democracy in Israel and that if Netanyahu didn’t want journalists to investigate him, he should have chosen another job.
