Hamas’ grid of terror tunnels does not pose a strategic or existential threat to Israel, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Gadi Eizenkot told the Knesset Control Committee on Wednesday. Hamas’s tunne doesn’t represent a threat to a strategical level, but still exists. Rather it represent a threat on five fronts: In Sinai, from terrorism in Judea and Samaria, on the Syrian and Lebanese borders, and the Iranian nuclear threat. Some of these threats are conventional and some are unconventional. We must emhasize that Israel is making pregress in technology and engineering capabilities, so we can defends our territory. Israel said that they are the forefront of technological progress. No other army has more advanced capabilities than the IDF, including the U.S. and [South] Korea.
