Egypt-Sudan relations could turn on a good way, after weeks of controlled tensions between both countries. Indeed, the Egypt-Sudan Political Consultation Committee released a statement on Thursday calling for a shift in media discourse after media outlets in the two countries attacked each other which nation has the right to control Egypt’s southern Halayeb and Shalateen region. The committee has also called for the signing of a code of ethics between the press and media outlets in Egypt and Sudan to guarantee working towards mutual interests and maintaining brotherly relations.
