The RADA, or Special Deterrence Force, led by Madkhali-Salafist Abdelraul Kara, thanked the other militias and the Presidential Guard for protect the capital from criminals, adding that the militias aligned to Serraj suffered 11 deaths during the clashes of Mitiga airport. This inter-militia fighting damaged 9 aircraft and led to the closure of the capital’s airport. Several airlines are now attempting to asses assess airworthiness of their craft and fly home hundreds of Libyan passengers stranded abroad.
