Yennayer, an important event that reflects the attachment of the Algerian people to national identity

The Minister of Youth and Sports said that the celebration of Yennayer is an important event that reflects the attachment of the Algerian people to the national identity, its components and to its dimensions. Assistant to part of the festivities organized on the occasion of the celebration of Yennayer at the elementary school “Adhim Fatiha”, in downtown Sidi Bel-Abbès where is taught the Amazigh language, the Minister pointed out that this event “confirms that the celebration of the Amazigh year is rooted in Algerian society and constitutes a reference for the institutions of civil society. “El Hadi Ould Ali emphasized the interest granted by the associative movement and by all members of society to this celebration aimed at strengthening and promoting the constants of national identity which have repercussions on the behavior of citizens, adding that We must rely on these constants to move towards a bright future in all areas”. The minister also welcomed the historic and exceptional decision made by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelaziz Bouteflika, decreeing January 12 of each year national holiday, before emphasizing that this decision reinforces the national identity with its three constants that are Islam, Arabity and Amazigh.
