Official: Iran never to accept renegotiating JCPOA

in MIDLE EAST/PRESS RELEASE/REGIONS by

Supreme Leader’s Advisor for Strategic International Affairs Ali Akbar Velayati said on Tuesday that the Islamic Republic of Iran under no circumstances will accept to renegotiate the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). Speaking to reporters, he said nuclear talks were very prolonged and no offer for its revision or its change by any party is acceptable, Velayati said. On regional developments, he said Iran’s stances accordingly are crystal clear which include support for territorial integrity of all countries in the region, including Iraq, Velayati said. Polling in Kurdistan as part of an independent country like Iraq will lead to the disintegration of the country and the Iraqi government along with the Islamic Republic of Iran and the international community are opposed to such move, he said.
