El-Sisi met the UAE leaders in Abu Dhabi


An official statement of the Egyptian presidency said that El-Sisi had a meeting with the Prime Minister, the Vice President, the Crown Prince  of Abu Dabi and the Deputy Supreme Commander  of the UAE in Abu Dhabi. The discussion concerned bilateral relations and ways to boost cooperation between the two countries. Furthermore they discussed about cooperation in counterterrorism between Arab countries. The state news agency of the UAE said that the relations between the two countries are based on strong foundations of consensus. The Egyptian President visited the UAE after his first meeting in Oman  with Sultan Qaboos Bin Said.

El-Sisi will travel to Oman on Sunday


For the first time the Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi will visit Oman on Sunday, in order to meet the Sultan Qaboos Bin Said. According to the official statement of the presidency spokesman Bassam Rady the two leaders will discuss about bilateral and regional issues. The meeting’s general aim is to consolidate the cooperation between the two countries in several fields, especially after the recent political development in Lebanon. El-Sisi will meet also a number of top Omani officials in order to boost historical and brotherly relations between Omani and Egyptian people.

The sixth meeting of the Egyptian-Ethiopian Higher Committee after a three-years impasse


In an official statement the Egyptian foreign minister Sameh Soukry announced his participation at the sixth meeting of the Egyptian-Ethiopian Higher Committee after three years of impasse. The talks will discuss the bilateral economic, social and artistic relations, and also regional and international developments. In addition the foreign ministers of the two countries will set the encounter between the President El-Sisi and the Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn. In recent years there have been strained tensions within the relation between Egypt and Ethiopia, because of the Grand Renaissance Dam. It is a situation of concern to Egypt despite assurance from Ethiopia that the dam will not damage the other counties.

El-Sisi holds talks with Putin on sidelines of BRICS summit in China


Egypt’s president Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi met with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Monday, on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in the Chinese city of Xiamen, state-run news agency MENA reported.The meeting included talks on several bilateral and international topics of a common interest. According to the presidency spokesperson Alaa Youssef, Putin praised the increase in trade between the two countries, as well as the bilateral coordination on regional and international issues. Meanwhile, El-Sisi invited Putin to attend a celebration at the site of the Dabaa nuclear-power station, which Egypt is planning to build with Russian assistance. El-Sisi is also expected to holding bilateral meetings with his Chinese and Indian counterparts during the three-day summit, as well as meeting with a number of large Chinese companies investing in Egypt.Earlier today, Sisi delivered a speech before the BRICS Business Forum, where he spoke of Egypt’s economic reform program, and related reforms of the subsidy system and social security system.
