BreakingNews @en di

U.S. President Donald Trump will host Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in Washington on May 3, the White House said on Wednesday. “They will use the visit to reaffirm the commitment of both the United States and Palestinian leadership to pursuing and ultimately concluding a conflict-ending settlement between the Palestinians and Israel”. White House spokesman Sean Spicer told reporters. In the interview, Abbas said he does not believe there is a viable alternative to the two-state solution. He said a diplomatic solution would be the result of “a painful Palestinian compromise. We have recognized Israel since 1993, but Israel has yet to recognize a Palestinian state.”Abbas reiterated his opposition to the U.S. moving its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. “Should that happen, we have a plan, but we hope there will not be a need to implement it”. According to the report, the U.S. negotiating team headed by Trump’s senior adviser Jared Kushner and U.S. Special Representative for International Affairs Jason Greenblatt will demand the Palestinian Authority stop paying the salaries of families of Palestinian prisoners and those killed while perpetrating terrorist attacks on Israelis, and that it cease transferring funds to the Gaza Strip while it is under Hamas’ control.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday that “Israel is committed to working with President Trump to achieve peace with the Palestinians and all our Arab neighbors”. Israel is defending itself from boycott and slander, and it defended by anti-semitism. Regarding the Palestinians, Netanyahu said “the Palestinian Authority must stop teaching children to hate and must stop paying terrorists, and must above all recognize the Jewish State”, adding: “My hand is extended to all our neighbors in peace”. We have to underline the fact that Israel is became a global technological power and Israel wouldn’t be the country it is today without the steadfast support of the United States of America. Also Tony Blair former British Prime Minister, who has always worked for peace bewìewtween Israel and Palestine, said that Israel should renew relationships with the arab world. Netanyahu said that he expected the Obama Administration to oppose any international initiative to advance a resolution on the Israel-Palestinian issue at the United Nations Security Council. Netanyahu, who spoke via satellite after having cancelled his trip to Washington two weeks earlier, said that some members of the international community are interested in forcing Israel to accept U.N. conditions, and he hopes the United States will stick by its longstanding policy and reject these efforts.

BreakingNews @en di

lsrael on Thursday declared the Palestinian National Fund, the Palestine Liberation Organization’s financial body, a terrorist group over its prolonged support of numerous terrorists’ families. This statement derives from the fact that according to Israel there are valid elements to show that the are responsible for serious terroristic acts against Israel. According to Abbas this is an Israel attempt to obstruct and sabotage U.S. efforts” to relaunch peace talks. He said it is a “fundamental violation” of the 1993 Oslo Accords and called on “all countries of the world to reject this declaration to preserve the agreement”. Earlier Thursday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Greenblatt for a second time this week to try to reach an agreement on the Judea and Samaria settlement enterprise, one of the most contentious issues in decades-old peace efforts. Netanyahu also said that Israel and the USA made progress on the issue of Israeli settlement construction.

The Egyptian presidency issued a statement on Sunday to comment on recently published press reports suggesting that President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi participated in a “secret summit” between Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, former US secretary of state John Kerry, and Arab leaders. While not denying participation in the meeting, the presidency said that “Egypt spares no efforts to reach a just and permanent solution to the Palestinian issue, based on the two-state solution and the Palestinians’ right to establish an independent state along the June 4, 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, without any political outbidding”. On Sunday, Israeli news website Haaretz published an exclusive report stating that Netanyahu took part in a secret summit in Aqaba a year ago. Participants allegedly included Kerry, Al-Sisi, and King of Jordan Abdullah II. The report said that Kerry’s proposal was rejected by Netanyahu but was supported by the two Arab leaders. The proposal reportedly included the recognition of the Jewish state and the renewal of talks with the Palestinians with support of the Arab countries.

Hezbollah: meeting Trump-Netanyahu and the death of the negotiations

Lebanese Hezbollah said on Thursday the outcome of U.S. President Donald Trump’s meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had effectively signaled an end to peaceful negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians. “After what came out after the meeting between Netanyahu and Trump, I am not exaggerating if I say that yesterday there was a semi-official announcement of the death of the path of negotiations”, Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said in a live televised speech. Trump on Wednesday dropped a U.S. commitment to a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Washington’s longstanding policy on the Middle East. “For the Israelis, there is no such thing as a Palestinian state” Nasrallah said, adding that the two-state solution was the only thing keeping the door to negotiations open.

Qassemi: Trump and Netanyahu unworthy allegations against Iran’s peaceful nuclear program

Asia @en/BreakingNews @en di

Bahram Qassemi said on Thursday that the recent anti-Iran remarks by US President Donald Trump and Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu contain nothing except a repetition of bogus and unworthy allegations against Iran’s peaceful nuclear program. The accusations against Iran are in contradiction to multiple reports by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) which have confirmed the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear activities. His comments came after Trump and Netanyahu at a joint press conference in Washington, DC, on Wednesday hammered Iran for its nuclear program.

Nasrallah: must dismantle the Dimona nuclear reactor that poses a threat to Israel's existence

Asia @en/BreakingNews @en di

Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah on Thursday called on Israel to “dismantle the Dimona nuclear reactor” warning that it poses a threat to Israel’s existence if hit by Hezbollah’s missiles in any confrontation.“Israel is continuing to launch threats against Lebanon and speak of the third Lebanon war and of what it will do during this third war. This intimidation is not new and it seems that there is a permanent Israeli objective to pressure the resistance community in Lebanon, and after (Donald) Trump was elected U.S. president, this intimidation has returned” said Nasrallah in a televised speech commemorating Hezbollah’s slain leaders. Trump’s election does not scare us, even if claims that he will give (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu the green light to wage a war on Lebanon turn out to be true, seeing as the issue of war on Lebanon is not hinging on the American permission, Hezbollah’s chief noted. Commenting on an Israeli court’s order that an ammonia container in the northern city of Haifa be emptied of its toxic content, Nasrallah also advised Israel to “dismantle the Dimona nuclear reactor” warning that it poses a threat to Israel’s very existence if hit by his group’s missiles. Nasrallah added: “The resistance must remain prepared and ready and the enemy understands this because this is what’s deterring it”.

Meeting Trump-Netanyahu: the administration will not impose a "two states" solution to Israel

Asia @en/BreakingNews @en di

President Trump has hosted yesterday the Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to the White House, the two have a busy work program that includes political and economic discussions. The most interesting thing is the line change that Trump has decided to do in relation to Israel, in fact, the President during the campaign he had said very close to the ideas of Netanyahu regarding the fight against terrorism, the iniquity of nuclear deal with Iran and the displacement of  US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Excluding this last point, however, still without a concrete action, on the remaining issues Trump has not impressed the breakthrough announced remaining more or less in continuity with the line of Obama. Also regarding the resolution of the conflict between Israel and Palestine it seems that the administration has decided to return to support the solution of “two states” unwelcome by Netanyahu, however, the Chief of Staff of the White House said that the administration will not impose to Israel “two states” solution.

Al-Orabi denies that Trump will discuss a plan to establish a Palestinian state in Gaza and Sinai with Netanyahu

Americas/BreakingNews @en di

Massive controversy and outrage dominated Egypt’s social media outlets on Tuesday following the circulation of statements from a prominent Israeli minister, who claimed on his twitter account that Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US president Donald Trump will discuss a plan to establish a Palestinian state in Gaza and the Sinai peninsula and not in the West Bank. The Israeli minister Ayoub Kara added that Netanyahu agreed with him regarding the plan and that he will open discussions with Trump on it. In response to the statements from the Israeli minister, former Egyptian foreign affairs minister Mohammed Al-Orabi asserted that these statements are meaningless and have nothing to do with reality.“These statements should not be considered important by the officials in Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs as it does not have anything to do with reality and would be refused by Egypt’s authorities and the international community if they were proposed” Al-Orabi said.

BreakingNews @en di

As Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu leaves for his first White House visit with President Donald Trump, a key goal will be curtailing Iran’s financial and military support for allies in the region that have targeted the Jewish state. Top of the list is Hezbollah. Netanyahu will urge the U.S. to drive a wedge between the Lebanese Shiite group and Iran, through harsh sanctions that will make Tehran think twice about extending support, said Israel Katz, intelligence minister and a member of Israel’s Security Cabinet.
