Militants in Rivers state on the Niger Delta kidnapped 14 Nestoil employees and their driver Sept. 3 on the road from Omoku to Elele, according to local police, Reuters reported. Authorities found their vehicle abandoned and the abductors have not yet contacted the company. No foreigners were among those taken. With the rise of the Niger Delta Avengers militant group, kidnappings of oil workers have increased.
