Ricordi nel cassetto – Memories in the drawer

Articles that have never been published but deserve to be late, was nothing else for the photo galleries produced, let’s start with Galen Weston, guest of our country in the past year.

A presto ragazzi e alla prossima in Italia.

The talented Canadian guitarist Galen Weston, arrived in Italy on a tour that saw him touch several European countries including ours where 6 dates are scheduled.

At the premiere of Rome, we were obviously present and pleasantly impressed by the skill, as well as the North American ace, also of the whole band composed by Lukas Kytnat on bass, Michel Medrano Brindis on drums, Matt Horner on keyboards and Richard Underhill on alto sax.
Galen with his yellow “Strato” and his band, are carving out more and more important spaces in the world jazz-rock fusion scene. Initially influenced by his idols, including Mike Stern, Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, Galen finds his way into a genre that ranges from jazz, rock and fusion, assisted by excellent instrumentalists like those who accompany him on this tour. Obviously is becoming very popular the last album “The space between”, which is following the success of the first “Plugged in”.
A pleasant evening in a very intimate environment like the Elegnace cafe, the public appreciates the sounds of this wonderful record and the palpable symbiosis between the band members, where the duets between Galen and Richard Underhill’s sax emerge, the sweets and technicians Matt Horner’s piano passages and the convincing pairing of the rhythm section composed by Lukas Kytnar and Michel Medrano.

Sometimes it is good to get out of the stadiums and find yourself in direct “contact” with the music.

See you soon guys and see you soon in Italy.
