Iran rejects US human rights critique as ‘biased by political objectives’

in ECONOMY/MIDLE EAST by

Bahram Ghasemi, the Spokesman of Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, denounced, on Saturday, the latest report of Department of State on human rights as a partial, politicized, and rejected report. “The Human Rights report of US Department of State is partial, politicized, and unacceptable,” said Bahram Ghasemi, the Spokesman of Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Saturday. “The Islamic Republic of Iran sees the annual report issued by American Department of State and especially the parts of it with anti-Iran human rights claims as a particle document with political intentions to relay a distorted and unreal image of the conditions in our country,” reiterated the Iranian diplomat denouncing the claims in the report as baseless accusations. “The American government is not only the biggest violator of human rights according to credible reports issued by international entities, but also is the biggest supporter of notorious violator of human rights in our region like the Zionist regime and some reactionary countries of the region; countries whose crimes are still entangling the region,” asserted the spokesman.

Iran and Saudi Arabia: an endless rivalry

in DEFENCE/MIDLE EAST/POLITICS by

The regional rivalry between Iran and Saudi Arabia is consumed not only indirectly by supporting opposite sides on the battlefields throughout the most critical areas in the middles Est. Indeed, public declarations perfectly show the rivalry between these two key actors. After the Saudis condemnation for supporting Houthi rebels and terrorist groups, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei accused Saudi Kingdom of betraying Muslim world due to the political alignment with the United States and Israel.  The Iranian leader made the remark at a conference held in Tehran on Tuesday, attended by parliamentary representatives from Islamic countries. Khamenei also accused Saudi Arabia of helping the United States and the “Zionists”. This political support has to be marked as a betrayal of the Islamic Ummah and the Muslim World, as he added bitterly. Furthermore, Khamenei affirmed that Iran is ready to help “and act brotherly even with those among the Muslim who were once openly hostile to Iran”. He cried for the unity among Islam Ummah, which must create a great power within the world. Conflicts and wars among Muslim countries must be stopped while political leaders throughout the Middle East “should not allow that a safe haven could be created for the Zionist regime”.

Commander: Foreign countries support terrorist acts in border areas

in MIDLE EAST/PRESS RELEASE/REGIONS by

On Tuesday, Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour, Commander of IRGC Ground Force, had a meeting with Qamar Javid Bejwa, Pakistan Chief of Army Staff General. During the discussion, General Pakpour evoked profound historical and cultural ties between Iran and Pakistan, underlining that the current Middle East’s instability and increase of terrorism are linked to the US and the Zionist regime’s actions. He also said that terrorists and bandits’ movements in border areas of Iran and Pakistan are monitored by Intelligence services of trans-regional countries and he stressed that the intensification of cooperation, sharing experiences and training among armed forces of Iran and Pakistan could guarantee security of mutual borders and the failure of terrorists and trans-regional enemies. Given repeated failures of Daesh in Iraq and Syria, they are trying to find new substitute areas to be deployed, so everybody should be aware and aware that the Takfiri terrorists cannot find new ones. To overcome the problems created by terrorist groups in the border areas, Islamabad has increased forces on the region to reduce terrorist movements and establish its control on the area. During the three-day stay in Iran, General Bejwa and his delegation have many consultations with political and military officials about some of the most important goals: bilateral problems, mutual cooperation in the fields of defense, security and politics, sharing experiences and promotion of military, security and defensive relations.
