Iran calls Netanyahu ‘infamous liar’ over nuclear allegations

in MIDLE EAST/POLITICS by

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi condemned Monday’s remarks by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against Tehran and said the Zionist regime sees its existence in demonizing others and using the “shabby” policy of “charlatanism”. In a statement, Qassemi deplored Netanyahu’s comments against the Islamic Republic as “a ridiculous propaganda show” and said his recent television presentation was “one of the latest repetitive episodes of fruitless and shameful shows about Iran’s ‘secret’ nuclear program. The Zionist leaders see the survival of their illegitimate regime, which is based on lies, in portraying others as threats through using shabby charlatanism in the era of ignorance of the world’s public opinion,” the spokesman said. He further emphasized that the futility of the Israeli regime’s policies is becoming more and more obvious to the world. Netanyahu on Monday delivered a televised address in which he accused Iran of violating the JCPOA.

in MIDLE EAST/PRESS RELEASE/REGIONS by

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi reiterated his country’s opposition to any kind of talks with foreign powers over its missile and defensive programs. “We have not changed our position and have several times repeated that our missile issues are a part of our defensive policies that are not in violation of the (UNSC) Resolution 2231 at all”, Qassemi told reporters in Tehran on Monday. “We don’t allow other governments to interfere” in our domain of affairs, he added. In relevant remarks in August, Qassemi blasted the US officials’ remarks against the country’s missile program, stressing that Washington is not entitled to speak about Iran’s internal affairs”. The issue with the missile is internal, defensive and related to deterrence which is in no violation of Resolution 2231 and is not related to them (the Americans)”, Qassemi said.

Iran Categorically Dismisses “Unfounded” US Human Trafficking Allegations

in MIDLE EAST/PRESS RELEASE/REGIONS by

The Iranian foreign ministry categorically dismissed as “unfounded and unreal” the recent US human trafficking allegations against Tehran. “We believe the US government is trying to distract world public opinion from the responsibilities it shoulders under the relevant international treaties and conventions through such acts. That’s for the same reason that we consider the US move in preparing fake reports and leveling accusations against the independent countries doomed”, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi said on Wednesday. Iran as a signatory to the UN Convention Against Transnational Organized Crime (the Palermo Convention) has so far undertaken extensive executive and legal measures in the field of fighting the evil phenomenon of human trafficking which have been verified by relevant international organizations and mentioned in UN Office on Countering Drugs and Crime, he said.
