North and South Korea to Talk About Olympic Cooperation

North and South Korea will meet on Tuesday for a high-level talks primarily to discuss the North’s participation in the upcoming winter Olympics, but also “to discuss about the issue of war-torn families and to look for ways to reduce heightened tensions over Pyongyang’s growing nuclear threat” the South Korea’s unification minister, Cho Myoung-Gyon, said. In fact in his New Year’s Day speech, Kim Jong Un agreed to discuss sending a delegation to the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics. It will be the highest-level summit between the countries in two years.
