The Attorney General Jeff Sessions said they will respond in writing to the letter of inquiry about his contacts with the Russian Ambassador democratic. Sessions written by some lawmakers said they had actually met the Russian Ambassador on two occasions during the RNC and its uffico to Congress. Russia, with Foreign Minister Lavrov, said that the investigation of contacts between the electoral advisers Trump and Russian diplomats is a “witch hunt”.
After the resignation of National Security Advisor, Michael Flynn, due to his repeated conversations with the Russian ambassador to the US, the Democrats demand again to the administration and to the Congress, Republican majority, which is made clear on the links that the new administration has with Russia calling for the formation of an independent and bipartisan commission of inquiry in Congress. A Favor of Democratic proposal has also deployed the GOP Sen. McCain, while other Republicans have merely taken note of the resignation of Flynn considering them a duty saw the loss of the relationship of trust between him and the President. It should be stressed that according to reports the Department of Justice would allert the administration about the talks between Flynn and the Russian Ambassador a month ago.
Michael Flynn, Director of the National Security of the President Trump, has resigned, the official reason is his contact with the Russian Ambassador in the USA, Sergey Kislyak, began when Obama imposed sanctions on Russia for the events of hacking during the presidential election. Mark Jacobson, Director of the former Secretary of Defense, explained that Flynn violated the Logan Act, a law that prohibits private citizens to have diplomatic relations, at the time of the facts Flynn did not hold any position in the Cabinet but, despite this, had reassured the Russian Ambassador on the new approach that Trump would have had with Russia,it also seems that Flynn, before resigning, did not inform neither the President neither the Vice President of contacts with the Russian Ambassador. Russia’s reaction to Flynn’s resignation was not positive, both journalists and some senior administration officials do not seem happy, his successor should be Keith Kellogg, former General and chief of staff of the White House National Security Council.
