On Thursday night a group of Palestinian youth shot live fire and locally made bombs at Palestinian security forces near the al-Faraa refugee camp in the occupied West Bank district of Tubas during a protest against the Palestinian Authority (PA)’s arbitrary detention of Palestinian youth in the refugee camp. While security forces attempted to open the closed street, two locally made bombs were thrown at them, prompting Palestinian forces to open fire in the air before chasing after the youth, security sources said.

13 Palestinians kidnapped during West Bank raids by IOF

IOF on Tuesday overnight have kidnapped 13 Palestinians from cities all over the West Bank. The raids included heavy fire and teargas grenades in Askar refugee camp near Nablus, causing intense clashes. On the other hand, IOF arrested a Palestinian child near the Ibrahimi Mosque for allegedly possessing a knife. The child was then transferred to Ofer military center for investigation. In Jenin, clashes broke out in Anin and Zabouba towns after Israeli forces stormed the two towns amid heavy use of teargas bombs. Several injuries were reported during the clashes. Similar raids were carried out in Beit Ummar town in al-Khalil where several homes were stormed and a number of local youths were summoned for investigation including an ex-detainee.

House of Representatives and State Council demand proper fundings for Bunyan Marsous military operation

The members of Misrata of the House of Representatives and the State Council have joined forces to demand to Presidency Council, that the Central Bank of Libya and the Audit Bureau provide proper funding for the Bunyan Marsous military operation so that it can finish the battle against the Islamic State in Sirte. “The group of Misrata representatives follow with concern the continued demands by the Bunyan Marsus Operations Room for necessary financial support to run the military operations against Daesh in Sirte,” a statement read. The group comprises Omar Abu Leefa, Hana Al-Arafi, Fathi Bashagha, Suleiman Al-Fagieh, Aisha Ghaliwan, Belgassem Gzeit, Mohamed Hneish, Jamal Karwad, Mohamed Raied, Abdulrahman Sewehli and Mohamed Al-Taib.

Clashes between LNA forces and militants in Benghazi

Central Benghazi is calm again after clashes yesterday between Libyan National Army (LNA) forces and militants in the central districts of Sabri and Suq Al-Hout. Clashes also continued in Ganfouda. The LNA used both air and ground attacks to pound the militants’ positions. According to a LNA source, one of the opposition’s commanders was killed in Sabri. He named him as Belgasem Al Shagabi. There has been no independent confirmation of this.

Israeli forces clashed with Palestinian youths during a predawn raid in the village of Beit Ummar in the southern occupied West Bank district of Hebron. Clashes broke out between local youth and Israeli soldiers after the soldiers removed and stepped on a memorial poster of Ikhlayyil. Israeli forces fired tear gas at local youth, several of whom were treated on the scene. An Israeli army spokesperson said they were looking into reports.
