Elkaber

In a press statement released last night, the Governor of the Tripoli-based Central Bank of Libya (CBL), Saddek Elkaber, accused all the previous six Libyan governments of lying to the public and choosing to use the CBL as a ‘‘scapegoat’’ rather than do their job and implement needed reforms to save the economy. Elkaber explained that Libyan population thinks that on ly CBL have the power to influence economy, however, without a united political government. He also denounced the influence of some militia on his policies, and an high level of corruption. However he told also that he believes in a Libyan-Libyan dialogue.
