One of the most important Muslim managers of Nigeria, the emir of Kano, is object of an investigation for embezzlement, which, according to his partisans, would make him lose his post. The treasurer and the secretary of the Royal court were convened today May 2nd for an interrogation. The investigators anticorruption examine the accounts of Muhammadu Sanusi II, the second Muslim dignitary of the country, following charges of mismanagement of the finances. The investigators focus on 6 million naira (17 million euros) spent to buy luxury cars, charter planes as well as other personal expenses.
